Salon Nail Tips

Good healthy nails make for stunning hands.

Keep them clean and stop biting them

Regularly wash. Sounds obvious but surprising how many we see come into the Beauty Salon (men more so, but women and as well) with dirty non manicured finger nails. Buy nail brush and keep it ion the basin.

if your nails are weak, avoid letting them grow too long

After cleaning apply a good hand cream to moisturize.

Beautiful hands and nail care start with basics stop nail biting, and not having rough nails with blood red cuticles is the first step in having good hands. We all know someone who bites their nails, then starts chewing on their cuticles.

Nail care and nail biting products

There are some products on the market to stop nail-biting, super-hot or bitter things to paint on your nails. I've heard some nail-biters say that the nasty taste didn't stop them, but they must work for some people.

Tips to File Your Nails Properly:

Filing the nails properly gives a clean and smooth look to your nails. There are different kinds of nail files available such as metal files, emery board, and glass ask in the salon about availability.

Filing can also be done to get rid of the broken ends, split, and rough edges of the nail. Most people prefer oval shape or square shape to their fingernails. For filing natural fingernails, a fine grit file is recommended.

Here are some professional beauty salon tips to file your nails properly:

Wash your hands thoroughly to remove the dirt under the fingernails. You can also use a fingernail brush to remove the dirt underneath the fingernails

Clipping the nails to the basic shape you want will make the filing process easier. It is recommended to clip across the nail tip leaving a square nail edge

Hold your nail file at a slight angle

Start at one corner of the nail and work towards the center of the nail. File your nails repeatedly to get the shape you want

File your nails slowly and use minimum pressure

File in the same direction to make sure you have a clean finish. Also make sure your nails have no rough edges

Now Wash your nails and moisturize

Nail polish shows off those fingers.

get rid of all traces of old nail products with an acetone-free remover.

Use a protective base before you apply nail varnish

. Beware of the "imitation" acrylic manicure. Your own natural nails are far better than using fake "glue on" ones. And for a little something extra try a nice bright nail polish for your next manicure. OPI nail products give a great professional finish ask in the salon to see the full range of colours.
