Hair salon Tips

Back

Updos are back in Cheltenham and it seems everywhere else. The posh plush hair that you think took hours to make by professional hairdressers, sitting up so high upon your head are in fact very easy to do yourself or a trip to Cheltenham to the salon.

First you could try using hot-rollers even if you don't want a wave. It's easy volume without having to work for it. If you want you can curl a few pieces on the top and sides with a curling iron.

Tilt your head over towards the front. With a large comb tease your roots. Tease it with small quick strokes until you feel a little nest forming at your roots. Give it a bit of light holding spray. Flip your hair back and taking up a standing position with your paddle brush smooth out your hair into your desired style. You can use a big bristle brush if you like to see more definition in your style.

Begin with the back of your hair and take a piece of hair like you’re doing a ponytail. Turn clockwise bring up and put your bobby pins in. Three to five are usually enough and remember to criss-cross the bobby pins if you think you need a little support in the back of your hair. Take your top piece that’s left over and turn lightly.

When it is secured and you have the height you want on the top bobby pin it down with 2 pins. Next take each side and turn it back to secure on the top building it up. Fix your bangs and bring in any front hair back that’s been left over and secure with a pin.

Spray or shape your loose ends and you have an a professional updo that just saved you giving us about £20! and another visit to Cheltenham to the hairdressers.
